Field Trip

Field trips are a way to trigger a child’s curiosity, build his / her social skills and instill a sense of accountability by fine tuning the delicate balance between freedom and responsibility.
August 4th, 2010, saw students of stds. IV to VIII in the government Museum, Egmore. |

| On 6th October, stds. I to III went to GT Farm House, where it was all fun and games. |

| Students of Pre K.G., LKG and UKG were accompanied to the V.G.P. Theme Park by their teachers and parents. This not only helped students come of their shell, it helped in reinforcing the fact that a lot can be achieved when teachers and parents work as a team. |

| Std. from IV to VIII were taken to GT Farm house on an overnight trip on October, 29th. They played, swam, sang songs, enacted skits, experienced sitting around a camp fire on a cold night and watched fireworks lighting up the night sky. On 30th after breakfast, they visited Dakshina Chitra and experienced the culture and art of South India. After Lunch, they visited the Cholamandalam artists village where they were introduced to the works of contemporary artists. |

26th November, 2010.
One Nation Reading Together, a Programme to promote the habit of reading, was organized by Scholastic India on 26th November 2010. Students from about 20 schools assembled in Lady Andal School, Harrington Road. Students took a pledge to make reading a regular habit. Krishnamachari Srikanth, the special guest for the programme, encouraged students to cultivate a passion for reading. The programme concluded with a route march taken out on Harrington Road with students carrying banners promoting reading. |
